Hi all,

My 161 HR wagon paddock car is failing badly (might be time to take this engine off life support!!). Anyway it'll run quite OK at idle (albeit with noisy lifters) but as soon as you put it in gear to take off it will always stall now (ie it makes no power under load). It has a great spark, is timed with timing light, has a good harmonic balancer that hasn't slipped. Would a timing gear that has jumped a cog or two cause this? It blows absolutely no smoke!!

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Peter
