Hi all,

Much appreciated if you could help me decode these numbers off my HK ute I'm rebuilding. These should be 95% correct, the plates are fairly worn!

Body: 8Q180KR-03633(- or 4?)K5
Trim: 1172-148
Paint: 568-10845
Body (the seperate tag) 80180KK566096

Number stamped on the firewall: HK546448

Also, fitting a T350 to a HK ute, what crossmembers will fit?
Anyone had troubles fitting a 350 chev to a HK with commodore rack and pinion steering setup regarding the sump? I know I'll have to test it out, hoping maybe someone knows.

Lastly, I remember someone saying on here once HK wiper blade grills (the 2 grills that sit under the wiper blades not sure of the name) are different to HT and HG. Can anyone confirm this?

Just chose the paint for the ute today it's Spicey Orange by Mazda. This is my first car rebuild so looking forward to driving it sometime soon!

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

Its a HK 6 cyl Belmont ute built in Sydney (the second K is probably a H).

The paint is Ermine White. Your Trim is probably 14B which is Teal Blue Vinyl.

Its a HK Belmont in Ermine white, probably 14A trim. Cant tell if its a V8 or 6cyl, but almost certain to be 6cyl. Its a 1969 model.

TH350 will use HK V8 powerglide crossmember, but remember to use the spacers as well (between xmember and body. Also wi

Thanks JBM and Byron.

I'll keep my eye out for the HK V8 Powerglide crossmember and speedo cable then. Already got a shortened 9-inch sitting in there with VT calipers and discs on the front and commodore something discs on the back.

Cheers
