Im putting a vl 308 into a HZ ute with a 175. What parts do I need? Cheers

I presume you mean 173, you will need matching V8 gearbox , ute V8 tailshaft(same as V8 wagon/statesman)V8 diff from a ute/van (a sedan diff will fit but the mounting brackets need changing) ,exhaust, factory disc`s are fine same for 6/8. at least a 3 cor

Yeah 173 sorry. Cheers for that. So the engine mounts are the same and the suspension will handle? What is the easiest manual box to fit into the HZ ute? Sorry guys, these question have probly been asked a million times.

You will need the engine mounts as well....the mounting points on the frame are the same throughout the HQ-WB series. You will also need to fit heavier V8 front springs.

Taz , doesn`t the RTS already have V8 size springs , my WB van already had the thicker springs from new with RTS and was originally a 6 ? I fitted a V8 a few years back and it handles great .

Suspension will be fine. You will need a HQ-WB sump and pickup. You will also need to bypas the in-harness resistor so that the coil gets 12V and not 9V whilst running. You'll have to change exhaust manifolds, or fit HQ-WB extractors. The front pulley(s)
