My wifes old 1976 mazda 929 has been sitting around for a few years now after my bro blew the engine, it got perfect body and trim and i thought yesturday if it was legal to stick an old 308 trimatic in it which i have in the shed for a bit of fun. does anone know if it can be road registerd in QLD? id probably have to changed brakes diff and move firewall and floor hump? has anyone done somthing like this on here?

but seriously, there is a cube limit, but it shouldn't be a problem. talk to an engineer first.


If nissan motorsport is nismo, then doesn't that make honda motorsport Homo?

Hi bundy.

Check the compliance plate for ADR27A, or a date 7/76 or later. This will make your job a little more difficult if it has either.

Its actualy a 7/78 i havent looked under the bonnet in 2 years amazingly the car still has no rust and is origanal paint. why will this make it hard Dr terry.

Any car built after 7/76 has to comply with ADR27A. This means when you do your conversion, the engineer will concern himself with all the usual requirements for a conversion to a larger motor, plus the need to meet anti-pollution laws for th
