GT or non GT style? Might have a non GT single rail shifter knob in the shed. That's a big might though, haven't seen the thing in a couple of years.

the shift knob is the same style as a top loder shift knob. ive seen one on a cortina

Know the one. You're chasing an XB GT or XC GXL, Cobra 4 speed shifter knob. Hard to get but they do show up from time to time. Try www.superoo.com.au They are in Perth and wreck heaps of old Fords out. If anyone has one it will most likely be these
