Hi Guys,

I know this has nothing to do with holdens, but I was wondering if anyone would know whether the double demerit points system applies if you have a license from another state. Got done for speeding in NSW but hold a QLD license. Do I still get done for double points or just the standard because I live in a different state?

Thanks

you get done for the points in that state where the offense was.

I see the N.T. now has a demerit points system, which now makes my N.T licence usless

A1 Bogan.
Old holdens brought on the spot, quick decision, cash paid.

I reckon they should have a "no claim bonus" on demerit points that way you get rewarded with more demerit points if you are a good boy or girl for say 5 years. If you have 12 or more points then your licence and rego could be cheaper.

Look at it thi

You just need to look how many camera cars are now setup on slight declines in the road. No warning sign, foot off the pedal and you will just make it. Just a couple mm of pedal and BANG you are 5km detected over which makes 3km alleged over, and 1 point

Its funny you mention the 3 k's over in Vic, I know NSW cops sometimes inforce that in some ares around NSW, Queanbeyan for example. What I find intresting is how they can justify a 3 k speed detection.

This is had to follow and Im not 100% on the stat

What scares me the most about all this revenue raising, is that it shows how out of control the government and departments are, in that they are actually commiting fraud, to get money from mostly innocent people, to get money so they can then "not" put i

If cops booking people for speeding was a fair dinkum road safety factor, I'd be happy with it.
But I'm sick of governments using road safety as revenue raising. All it is , is a rout against the public. Speed cameras don't stop people from speeding, bu
