Hi,
Can anyone suggest the best way to hook these vacuum controls up on a stock blue 308/quadrajet? I have the "Holden Improved Performance" workshop manual and it shows the vacuum advance connecting in to the TCS Solenoid on the manifold. Most vacuum advances I have seen on blue V8s have been changed to go straight into the carby.
Am I best off setting it up as per factory, or is there a better way to hook all these vacuum lines up? Do the thermal vacuum switches effect economy/performance if they are hooked up wrong?
thank you, Rhys

Does anyone have the "ideal" setup of these vacuum lines on a blue 308, or point me in the right direction?
thanks Rhys

Hi crowe, Ive done what youve suggested by connecting the dizzy straight to the ported vacuum of the carby. Its running and idling a lot better now when hot. Its on LPG so I dont have the original air cleaner. LPG is good in the way that it doesnt stall
