Gee, have I got a story for you.
Last week a guy advertised the running gear from an original SS Torana. They are all matching numbers for his car that he bought from a lady in the wheat belt, Western Australia. One owner and all the log books.
Would you believe he is going to butcher this car and put in a roll cage to build a Bathurst Replica. I cant believe he is selling all the running gear.
I am so angry. This is the car I have been waiting for. The car would be worth more with all matching numbers than it will as a Bathurst Replica. I guess if I had to find any good out of this, he just put up the price of any LX Torana SS with matching numbers. There aren't many left out there.
I wouldn't mind so much if it was an SL.

Unless, of course, his desire is to have his very own Bathurst replica to drive and own rather than build and sell.

Its not so much the resale value of it, its the fact that hes destroying a genuine 1 owner SS. It makes me cringe just thinking about it.
