Hi all,
Does anyone know if all WB utes/vans factory (not dealer) fitted with a GTS dash had a black column, wheel, and handbrake? Or could you option a GTS dash onto a ute/van and keep the tan or buckskin column etc?

I had a look at a one owner '84 WB Kingswood ute and the owner claimed that the dash was factory fitted when he bought it (but it had a buckskin column/wheel and a chrome HZ RTS badge on the fascia!).

thanks
Rhys

hi Rhys

I always thought the coloured columns and steering wheel belonged to the Kingswood commercials, but obviously not! Can anyone else shed anymore light on this? How did Holden decide what colour column to use in the WBs ... was it purely based

Thanks Adam and Frank,

A few more facts. I have an 82 WB Van with a factory fitted GTS dash, black column, wheel, and handbrake, tan interior.

I also have an 81 WB Kingswood ute, with a standard dash, buckskin wheel, column, handbrake and interior.

Because the WB's were the end of the line, a lot of dealers and the factory were quite accomadating when it came to options as they wated to use up the left over parts.
