Currently doing a conversion, VN V6 and T700 to a HK van. The VSS goes through the speedo/trip computer then to the ECU, As the HK wont be using a trip computer do I bypass it somehow ? Or where do I reconnect the VSS to the computer ? I have uploaded a wiring diagram to help. http://gallery.oldholden.com/HK-VN-V6/vn_efi_wiring_diagram (you can click the image to enlarge it)
Thanks guys.

Well my guess would be to join the VW wire going from the VSS to the trip computer directly to the NY wire that goes from the trip computer to the ECU. The BW wire is an earth and PB looks like a power supply to the trip computer.
Or just wire up the tri

cant wire the VSS directly to the ECU because the speedo corrects the VSS signal to something the ECU can read.

You need a converter from Castlemaine auto electrics. It converts the 10 pulse (I think 10 is correct) to 2 pulse (I think) for the ECU.

I have the the converter, it came with the v6conversions kit. But I still have to wire it to the ECU, so would the above (hzsteves) method work ?
Thanks for the replys.

Yes - the cluster, as Byron said, converts a 10 pulse per revolution (of the 'box output shaft) into a 2 ppr output.

As long as the convertor box you have does the same (ie, it's a divide by 5 circuit) then yes, you simply wire the speed sender to t
