I have a set of h.g. gts monaro id tags which i was wanting to sell. Before i sell them i was wanting to know how to find out what they are worth and how can they be sold legally. They are not stolen, i still own the car they are on. There will only be 2 of 3 plates sold if this is possible. Any information would be helpful.

if you still have the car why sell just the plates, then the car isnt worth as much??? ill buy the whole car off you? and you cant leagly sell ID tags, check VIC ROADS

I live in queensland. IT doesn't matter that it wouldn't be worth as much the car is used for drag racing. Thought they might be of use to someone who has had there tags stolen, as they are 80837 G.T.S V8 id tags. The reason there is only two plates is th

Its not legal to sell tags. I dont think you want a to get on the wrong side of the law

If it is illegal to sell them, why do people steal them. There must be away around it. Whenever i have seen them listed on ebay there always seems to be a demand for them.

holden; don't waste your time on here asking about ID tags, there is too many half truths & secondhand info going around for it to be any help to you, for the best price ebay them, but be warned, you will get the same problems with the ill informed.

It isn't illegal AFAIK to sell the VIN and BODY tags, but most RTA's, VICROADS etc seem to apply the rules to all tags.
In any case it would be silly to separate the tags, as the other 2 tags are worthless without the ADR tag. You are best off leaving th
