Hello Iam looking at getting an 84 4.1 lt xf engine to put into my 91 model ford.

The question being will it swap over with no problems.

Oh also my car is on gas will the head of my 91 go onto the 84 engine.

Yes no problem and yes the head will fit.

Only issue that you will run into is that the XE engine has imperial threads for the flywheel and post 86 XF's were metric so don't go stuffing the XE crank by fitting the XF bolts to it.
