I was watching the 12 hour and notice that Evos and Beemers were leading most of the time, if we went back to this type of racing maybe Holden would lift their game with the Commodore or produce a smaller car with V8 like the LH/LX Toranas.
Even though this was a production class I didnt think it was boring, the lead changed constantly and there was plenty of passing.
Another thing was the class based competition, if you had no chance of outright at least you could win your class with what you had and gain experience as a driver.

F! I missed it. do you know if its showing again on tv. yes the new VE is way to heavy. i could not believe holden would bring out a heavier model. for all the pros and cons, its no accuse! really.

it is much faster around the track than the VY-VZ commodores. they have upgraded the diff, and all the suspension, they make a great track car.
If nissan motorsport is nismo, then doesn't that make honda motorsport Homo?

Sounds exactly the way the bathurst 1000 used to be and should be.Different classes, plenty of passing, and very entertaining,and racing real cars.

The Performance car racing I saw recently (I think it was on the Bathurst 1000 weekend) was good to watch. The Evo's revving their rings out trying to keep up with the V8's was awesome.

I think it was a VY SS that came 8TH, and 1ST in its class D.
And a new VE commodore sports wagon 6.0 L, came 2 ED in class D
If only they made it a serious commodore and falcon race deal.
