I am about to paint my HT Monaro and am in two minds how to do the rear stripes.
My best mate and painter suggests that we delete the rear black out.
Like the South African SS.
His feeling is the horizontal black out appears to fight with the rest of the car.

So I thought I would put it to the masses to get some feed back.

Now bare in mind this car will be mandarin red and already is so far removed from a stock standard car it doesn’t matter.

Also anyone else have some pics.

Stock option A

Delete black out option B.

IMO you have to do the rear stripe as it ties in with the blackouts on the tail lights and the blackout in the centre of the boot strip... On the HT GTS these areas are be blacked out and look the part.... its also not hard to do as the moulding covers th

IMO I think option A is good so long as you where to run the right HT tailights and the boot strip. Cheers.

on the HT GTS the beaver is the same colour as the car.... all places where the black paint joins the main car colour are hidden by stainless moulds or the bumpers

I do like the hk stripes myself but not the ones that run along the sides above the sills.
