I am sure most of you have seen this car on ebay (see link below).
I was the first to email him back when he posted it in this sites selling section. Now it is on ebay it is found to be an 81837. I think the numbers for this should be put on the Monaro register so it is not re birthed from a base model or a stolen one in years to come.

I have put this to the owner (Simon) but I thought I would ask what everyone else thinks. Maybe Waren Turnbull might be able to ask the question about the rest of the numbers.

Just one more thing, If it was a Bathurst HK it should have the 6" spare wheel brackets but it has not, I can not see the hole in the left rear 1/4 inner panel for the fuel tank breather tube, there has never been any holes in the inner wheel arches for the tramp rod body brackets and the tank is a standard one also with the right cover plates for a standard tank.

I am not having a go at the owner (Simon) over this as I think he is just reading the plates but just getting peoples minds working.

Cheers.

Firstly, there is no need to buy a car like this for tags. It is common knowledge now that tags are being remanufactured and these tags can be made with any numbers you want (even though many advertise they will only make tags to replace damaged ones, I k

Hay monaro police thanks for your input but you have no idea about me and my CARS.

I am sure you wouldn't like to buy a Monaro to find is was made out of a car like this! Or have your Monaro (IF YOU HAVE ONE LIKE ME!) stolen and rebirthed. I am not say

I think (hope) that he has listed a base model and said it's a GTS327 as a joke.

He states that it was originally Warwick yellow but has been repainted several times. Well if it was wearing several layers of paint the roof would be a lot less rusty th

I think hkpremier1968 is doing the right thing in posting information about a "suss" car.
I'd hate to be the bloke to buy the car and find it's not what its supposed to be as Warren said.... whether its a joke or not,it's someones hard earned money.Thats

hkpremier1968 i was thinking exactly the same as you with those inconsistancies..another one is the pic showing no floor, the rear left door trim, on GTSs there should be an armrest or at least the holes.

Hi, in no way am I trying to discredit the seller of this car. I was just stating some facts. Now if you look at the type of questions he is getting now you will know what I mean about re birthing this car.

These are the last questions.

monaro police, i totally disagree with you comment. Stopping this guy from selling the tags now will prevent someone from losing a fortune on a rebirthed car in the future.

There are only 2 x potential buyers here (broad brush I know):

Those like me that'd buy it for the tags for my tag collection;
Those that would buy it to re-body it.

I use re-body instead of rebirth, as rebirth means using good tags on a stolen car
