I find myself with a leaky, in need of replacement power steering box on my XF.
So I'm cnsidering the reco or wreckers options.
Thinking about the wrecker option.
were there any later models that took the same power steer box, that would increase the likely hood of finding a goodie.
If not whats the go with places to get a reco unit or an exchange arround brisbane.

Pretty much the same box from XA to XF. I'd aim for one out of another XF myself. Should be reasonably cheap from the wreckers. Just check for wear and tear and see what sort of warranty they will give you. If you want to go the reco route just look

The XG ute & p van has the same box but some how different, it has a lot better feel to it. the others are rubbish in comparison.

you can buy a kit from eBay for about $15 including postage. If you can get the front pulley off and back on you will have a leak free pump in about 1 hour.
Nulon conditioner and stop leak works well if you just keep topping it up with that you eventual |
