trademe in NZ which is an ebay competitor has got it somewhat right.... you must register with a valid credit card or put a bond into their account before you list an item.... bond is NZ$20.... this sets up a paper trail that can be traced if fraud is inv

By the way, with Trademe if you ask a question to seller he/she can only reply to you if he shows the Q & A. and you can not get the email address of a seller or buyer by asking a question or responding to one. Only if you win or sell an item is the email |

i had a quick look at his (1) feedback, seems as though he bought 100 zip-lock bags. Unless he collects coins or his wife collect jewelery or buttons, i can only think of one good reaon for this.... (*sniff*). Thats my thoughts anyway

The problem with trade me with the deposit crap, is if you are a buyer you cant ask any questions without handing over the dosh to them, which is a dumb idea unless you intent to become a seller, this has stopped me using the site for a purchase more than |

IMO if thats the only way to limit the activity of scammers then im all for it.....
what does my head in though is that people respond to buy it now ads for monaros et al $7,000 buy it now.... hello people... warning bells should be rining somewhere
