Hi All,I have seen a couple of VZ utes with factory canopies fitted that look like vans getting about.I have also seen one advertised for sale in victoria as a factory sandman, one of only a few built with documentation, supposedly. The vans I have seen around here have sandman decals across the rear,HZ style that match the colour of the van quite well.Would these be real factory vans or just dealer equipped vehicles,I have read nothing of their existence. Cheers Rob.

They are Holden by Design vans , started with VY , canopy is intergrated into the roof making it a van, you can`t get into the cabin like the old vans though.

Dont you mean a VY SS ute with a canopy on it? Being pedantic I know. But thinking about it, an original Sandman is ostensibly a ute or van with GTS bits (amount dependant upon model). Holden really should never have called a 4 door a GTS - the origina Edited by user Tuesday, 1 April 2008 4:21:42 PM(UTC)

I agree with Byron, a lot of people today seem to think all panelvans are Sandmans. They seem to forget they are utes as well, are all utes Sandmans as well???????? Cheers, Pete. Old Holdens never die, they just go faster. Edited by user Tuesday, 1 April 2008 7:55:58 PM(UTC)
