Hello All, I have posted a picture at Flickr which shows a cable of which I do not know what it is for. For all you parts experts out there, I would appreciate if you would have a look at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25219862@N08/2371686807/ This cable came to me from my late uncle's collection of car bits and pieces. I was wondering what vehicle it would be suitable for? The cable is new, however, there are no part numbers or markings on the cable. The overall length of the cable is approximately 175cm. At one time my uncle owned a Holden one tonner (HQ), a Holden HG wagon and also a Holden Rodeo ute. Therefore, am I correct in thinking the cable is for a Holden vehicle. Regards, mymonaro2003

Without seeing how thick the wire is, I'd hazard a guess at it being either a kickdown cable for an aiuto trans, or if it's a bit heavier, a handbrake cable - the one from the lever to the trunnion link that joins it to the big cable that loops to both re |
