Hi guys.
I know this has been brought up a lot and its all relative and objective etc, but does anyone have a realistic idea on current sandman values? Or to be more specific, does anyone know how much primo restored genuine vans have been selling for through the big money places like shannons and AMCS?

The reason i ask is im considering doing a full back to factory resto on my other HZ sandman so it looks and runs and basically is, shmicko, with the idea of then selling it. Its all original with all matching numbers inc original engine but im thinking itd need to be worth over 20 grand to make the resto viable for me at the moment...

Regardless it wouldnt be completed until next year as it relies on the selling of a house and a few other factors. Any thoughts? Cheers.

I reckon they are on par with the equivilent HX-HZ Monaros for price, so a real good one would be worth between 20-30K. If it's a 308 4 speed, good colour, matching numbers, restored then at least $20K to my mind. Probably comes down to how much work yo

Vanbaz is right, you guys are a bit behind the times with Sandman values. The HJ was a very nice restoration but had a non original Commodore 253 in it and a few other non original parts ... sold for $25000.

The HZ is a beautiful restoration with all

Thanx guys. This is all great info. Its good to hear some details cos you see sandmans people say are 'genuine' but look like any old tradey van, barely pull 3 grand on ebay, then you hear of nicely restored ones selling for 30 grand. There seems to be a

I decided not to sell it. I think selling a house which is costing me money and keeping the sandman which isnt is a better idea. Prob fix it up in a few years and see what the values are like then. Cheers for the input!
