hi i am after a 5 speed gearbo suit 186 or 3.3
after either a celica bellbousing adaptor or a 5 speed from vb commodore???-there similar to m20 except 5 speed,
and any info on the commodore box such as what model they came from and are the yoke and clutch plate etc same as m20 and is there a difference in length to the m20
all help appreciated

The VH/VK 5 speed box is basically a Sigma box and not particularly durable behind a 6 cylinder engine.

They also have a unique clutch, tailshaft and yoke.

hi HOLD ON what vehicle is it in and is the bellhousing same as m20 or can i use a m20 bellhousing

nothing is interchangable between bw 5spd and m20, bellhousing on bw holds cluster bearings
these boxes were in vh commy 1900 and 2.85 only I think
I have modded m20 bellhousing and/or an adaptor plate either to fit celica 5spd to red 6 if you are inter

i had one in mine as well
engine and g/box from vk commodore
no idea what belhousing....i was told it was a borge warner??

If you use a Celica box in place of your M20 you can buy a yoke from Dellow that fits the box and takes
the Holden uni joints. This way you keep your original un modified tail shaft.

That's what I did when converting my old VC to a Celica 5 speed
