Hi all, my Monaro has a Holley 600 (Vacuum secondary), Edelbrock Torker, electronic Dissy, Big valve heads, roller rockers and a mild waggot cam. It has 3.36 rear end and is a manual 5 litre. To get off the line I need at least 1500 rpm or more to get going smoothly. It doesn't like driving at 60 km/h in top and seems to like anything above say 3000 rpm before it all smoothes out in its driving. It hasn't had a dyno tune or anything like that. Question is 1. would a dyno tune help smooth out the driving experience and assist it in getting off the line more smoothly? 2. Can I remove the mild cam and replace it with a stock one or near stock one while leaving all other components on the car or do I need to change intake manifold, carby jets etc etc?
Advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Trent.

A dyno should help but the Torker is probably your problem. If you have early heads get an early stock manifold. If polution heads use a Performer or a KC253308. Then get it tuned and it should be fine. A dyno tune to start with would be a good idea thou |
