when fitting a later disc rear under a hq do the threads on the brake pipes of the hq match those of the later metric fittings ?oao thanks

You've almost answered that question yourself. No, they don't fit because they are 'metric'.

It's easy to overcome though. I can make new hoses with a metric fitting at one end & an imperial fitting at the other. Or I can cut the pipe fit a
