Don't worry, i am not planning to run them...but what i plan to do is use an old set, chop them bit by bit a see how the car sits. my question is though..when i get the height i want...how do i know what springs to get? Because the spring rate will change as they're cut...so sag will differ each time.
Say, hypothetically, i end up with a spring that's 45cm long and it sits nicely. If i order new springs in that length, they might sag further because i don't know what the spring rate was with the cut spring.
This all make sense?
Finally, if the shocks are in decent condition, how far can teh car go down while retaining them? I'm not going stupidly low, just will the tyres fill the guards a bit more.
Cheers. |

You're right about the spring place...they'd deal with those requests every day i guess. I just had a spare set of springs fall my way and felt like a little project :-) |

The other would be to measure the distance from hub to arch with the springs standard. Then chop until you get the stance you want. Measure again. You know know how much you want to come down from standard (and also gives you a measurement that you can |
