i'm considering building a 355 or 383 based on a red or blue 308 block for my hq ute, and am accumulating the ancillaries before i get the stroker kit

so which heads should i use?

hq pre pollution red
hz pollution red
blue with the unleaded seats ( i've got all these, so that's why i've asked. open to other suggestions though )

the rest will prolly be q jet, performer manifold, crane 286 or similar and will be using dual fuel, trimatic and 3.36 salisbury

yes sonny, it's an HQ ute

Mate, with the work youd have to do (and cost involved) to those Holden heads to get them flowing well enough to feed even a mild stroker decently, you may as well buy some nice aftermarket ones. There are brands that are value based...i think Procomp for

Stock VN heads. But of the 3 you have, I'd use the blue heads simply as they already have hardened seats. If you are going to use a performer manifold it makes no difference as these will fit all three.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?
