The main difference is that the filler neck is removable on a VN and its a soldered in part of the tank on a VL. Should still fit though. -----------------------------------

There is one dent in it that shouldnt be to hard to get a panel beater to weld a tab on and use an easy beater to get it out, paint it to your liking and fit. Too easy!
