Hi All, My WB caprice has recently developed an exhaust leak. I thought it was the extractors so I have had new ones put on. Problem hasn't gone away though. Also I've taken the EGR valve out and given it a good clean and also the holes going into the manifold, put it all back together, no fix.
Is there any common place for exhaust gas to be leaking from in these motors? Is there something I can spray around the engine to see where its coming from? I can smell it up to about 80km/h but above that it must just blow under the car.
thanks Rhys

Best bet is to get it on a hoist with the engine idling and carefully put your hand close to exhaust joints. If its on the manifold a water spray bottle with soapy water may help.

If its a manifold leak you can use crc or wd40 and the revs pick up... if its exhaust do the above ,obviously set the car up first to give you the most time before it really heats up/if you smell it up to 80 itll be probably be halfway up the block aroun |

I meant manifold exhaust leak, not intake.
