hi, just wondering how good a low restriction 2 into 1 system would be using the stock exhaust manifolds

i like the stock appearance, and it would let me continue using the steering column auto selector

as indicated in my trimatic post, i'm after mid range torque, not balls-out top end

yes sonny, it's an HQ ute

You wont get a huge improvement just changing the pipes as the stock manifolds arent very efficient at exhaust scavenging. For performance some people recommend a bigger single system but I prefer the sound of the twin pipes coming out both sides.

You only have to be in front at the end of the race.

The main thing is that it is low restriction.
Putting on extractors will do nothing, if the rest of the system is restricted.
I have driven worked 308's with manifolds, that got a wriggle on. good extractors will make it a first class job.
