Hows it going lads&lassies, just thought I'd introduce myself before I start talking horsepoop on here.
My name is Pete and I live in the SE burbs. I'm a mick but I've been living in Australia for about three years now. I signed up here as a lurker a long way back but I can't remember what my username was so I had to start afresh!
My transport history is as follows(please feel free to laugh and point where appropriate):
First car: 1988 Mk2 VW Golf 1.3, 4spd manual(the little car that could)
2nd: 1995 Nissan Sunny(pulsar 1.4 twincam manual(an absolute lemon but went quick when thrashed mercilessly)
3rd: Not a car at all, Honda CBR250R(considering I was 115kg at the time, definitely the little bike that could)
4th: Fiat Scudo diesel van(don't laugh, this thing was bulletproof, also a company vehicle so it had a hard life)
5th: Again, not a car, Honda VTR1000F firestorm(ohyes, dear god yes)
6th: Fiat Stilo turbo diesel, also a company car(turbodiesel works in Ireland, okay?! Went like **** off a shovel, overtook a merc in the air over a bridge once if that helps, long story don't ask)
7th: First Aussie car, Nissan Pintara 2litre manual(the R30 skyline lookalike one). Little trooper apart from the selector fork dropping out every once in a while.
8th: VY series II dunnydoor. Another company car. Tried to kill me twice, possessed by the debbil.
9th: BA falcon wagon on gas, company car. Been a faithful servant for two years, inc a trip to adelaide, two trips to Sydney and a run down Mt Hotham that will be talked about no further. Still have it to this day although they're taking it off me next year for some Mitsubishi piece of crapola.
10th: My first proper muscle car, a 1974 XB falconsedan, running a warm 351. Picked this up for a ridiculously low price, but it also had a few little issues(called rust and, er, rust). Eventually sold it for...
11th: One of my "keepers". Honda CBR929rr, goes hard, very hard. Love it to bits.
12th: I don't have it yet, but I'm courting another xb sedan that belongs to a mate. Judging by the receipt book he has for the car, its a bit of a big'un. Bring it on!
My First XB:
Peter.
