just need a little help here... something is very wrong. :S

just need to know what order everything goes on after that pic. after stupidly pulling two columns down, i have two thick springs that go on the column centre (which you can see in the pic i got from holdenpaedia..), bunch of washers, and a couple circlips. i have no idea what goes back on, and in what order. why is the spring there at all? what is it holding on? (the housing that has the ignition barrell in it is bolted on seperatley, so it seems to have nothing to do with that)
im thinking washer-spring-washer-circlip, then the steering wheel??

anyway, i put on a washer, then the spring, and another washer. couldnt get a circlip on but since i dont know how it goes on anyway, i just pushed the steering wheel on. tightened the bolt, and that was it. steered it left and right, and gave it a few yanks...

..well, the steering column seemed to just yank right on out. :S wont pull all the way out, and can still steer.. but thats just not right. i can easily push it back on, and alls fine; but what is missing to hold this (the upper column) in?

so if anyone can remember how it all goes back together, or has a photo or two of what it looks like without the steering wheel on, thatd be a massive help.

thanks..

i think you will find that the encased bearing in the ignition hub is no longer encased...common problem...

going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car...

^ so thats whats letting it pull out eh? do you think it would be fine to leave? id imagine itd just make it slightly harder to steer as the crap was let into the bearings. if its easy to replace though, i may aswell..

now, you wouldnt happen to know
