Hi everyone,i just sent my AU LTD into Midas for its green-slip (my car has alwyas been serviced by FORD) and they told me that theres rust in the muffler so the car wasn't elagible for its slip!
Even though mufflers are their specialty they said that they didn't have any parts that matched it - can anyone help?
Is this a common problem ?

That's bizarre. They had a chance to sell you a muffler and they didnt have one? Should be a real common part for your Fairlane. Did they at least offer to order you one in? Did they show you the rust? A rusty muffler is a problem if it is noisy or allows

i have an au futura it has a stainless steel system on it and has had from new.
