decided to go efi so the whole top end of the engine i got of you is up for sale

G'day Scott.
We have a couple of late model V8's in stock, but not "heads only" :-(
I could probably help you out with EFI exhaust, inlet manifold and throttle body etc in the near future, but you would still need to get injectors.

yeh im at the point with the vk that if im going to to it right i dont really want to skimp on things

While you are poking around the yard have a look for a small turbo maybe a Charade or Suzuki for me....pretty please.. for the Mighty Boy...

Hey Taz, i have almost completed a VK 308 to VN injection setup but havent changed the cam? Why do you have to? It has a mild gas cam in it? Please tell me you dont have to change the cam!!!

While I haven't done this conversion personally, I'm told that the cam lobes for the VN + heads, is in a different position/profile to the earlier 308 engine heads.
So.....sorry but you have to change the cam too :-(

Howdy,


The VN onwards heads have different port spacings and hence a different valve position to the old 308 heads. The timing will be the same but you need a different camshaft to accomodate this. The book "The essential holden V8 engine manua

Lawnmowers??? Reminds of a story about (I think) Jack Brabham. During a stint in Italy one of his mates asked him to repair the reel lawn mower. Jack being a lad fully worked the motor, to the extent it frightened the crap out the unsuspecting owner first
