HI all, I have been all but ready to fit a HR front end to my EK, but recently spotted a car with a LH Torana fitted to it in place of the traditional HR conversion, my question is............ Is the Torana front end a better swap? what benefit is gained by the different front end? HR is more popular does this mean better or easier???
Any help to alleviate my confusion is greatly appreciated
Matt

Mr caravans,
the LH front end fits, but modification is required to do this. the mounts on the LH front end have to be modified to suit EK subframe, or you can graft the skirts from LH on to the EK. From memory I think the track was the same. The adv

Use a UC 6cyl or Starfire. Handles heaps better. If you go this way I'll tell you what calipers etc to use to get easy HQ brake upgrade.

V6 Conversions now make a front end that is basically a newly fabricated Commodore front end with upper wishbones instead of struts.
It's a bolt in and takes engines with front drop Commodore type sumps.
Cost is the downside though as it's ab |
