Phil Irving Alloy cylinder head question

Hi, how many alloy Irving heads where made? Where there different types of Irvings made? What would one be worth, fully recon with stainless valves, complete with Irving rocker cover?

hi there was 22 irving heads made. they are worth $1472.63 ea

Hi Stuart, where did you get the info from for the 22 made? The cost you have quoted that would have to be the cost when new back in 70's as i would guess they would have to be worth a little more than that in today market.

Hi Sandman, I have one. It is complete. It has a set of hand made extractors with bloody long primarys. The head came with a reco McGEE fuel injection plus pills for pump fuel to suit and a reco magnetto dissy. Hi Steve sounds like an awesome piece of kit, if you ever get that sucker on the dyno could you post the figures, or even some pics or video of it running would be sweet. I think you might scare a few ricers in such a light body :) Leroy |

That all sounds good. A rare piece of history you have.
A guy in Sydney named Joe Zullo is making heads and Im fairly sure they are from Phil Irvings original design. He was marketing them as JZ heads. They work pretty good. He had one on his red moto

Here's a tip. Sell the JP block. They are really no different to a normal 202 block. You'll get thousands for it, maybe as much as $3,000 or more. Then buy a normal 202 for $50. The funds from the JP block will pay for the build on the normal 202 |

Hi Byron, well there is a story with the JP. I brought a set of 58mm Sand Cast webers, yes the same set as what was on Brockys winning car, and whilst I was there he said to me there is an old JP in the corner of the shed and you can have it as its going
