Do std 308's lack down power.
I do believe they all lack power at all RPM's, with the std single exhaust. but with twin exhaust, i do believe they do not lack any torque from 500 RPM on. in my experience driving std 308's HG HQ HJ and a VK highway patrol with a big cam and twin exhaust, all went well. a VH highway patrol with single exhaust was gut less. i would say with out doubt that a std 308 performs better from 500 RPM to 3600 rpm, then any 5.7L gen 3.
What has been your experience.

Ive found them to be doughey in factory setup especially TH400. But wake them up with sensible mods and they are a good engine. Still down on torque compared to longer stroke engines though eg 327.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?
