Hi all, I live in Tasmania and ownan XB ute with a 250X-flo, and would like to upgrade to a 351 windsor. I'd prefer windsor because they less likely to crack as they have thicker bores. Does anyone know where I can purchase a cheap block, thats all i need, the block and maybe the crank. Got big plans for an aluminium headed windsor.

Clevelands don't fail in the bores unless you over bore them. I've got a tad over 500hp from my 351 Clevo so far. I am aiming for a tad over 600hp in the next 12-18mths. Also looking at building a 408 stroker.
I'd suggest going Windsor if your going

EFI and a centrifugal huffer were part of the plan, I was going a 289 and figured I'd use RPM and the huffer to get around 400hp. But if I can source a cheap 351W block then I won't need the RPM unless I ditch the huffer. So yeah I'd prefer a windsor, not

I'm no expert but heres a couple of differences. 1. They are two different blocks entirely with the Windsor being made in the Windsor Factory, hense the name. 1. The Windsor is physically smaller due to smaller angle of V 2. Windsors are better for low |

Actualy only the 289/302 windsors are smaller. They have an 8.2" (inch) deck hieght (crank centre to head surface), with the clevo 302/351 running 9.5" and the 351 windsor running 9.2" The angle is still 90 degree V. The differences are in the casting, wh

To BRENDEN I was just wondering what you have done to the engine to get 500hp and roughly the cost of doing it. Cheers
