Hi guys

I have installed a VP 5L into my HJ but when the weather is hot and the motor warmed up the engine revs start to surge and can get so bad that it causes the car to stall. It runs ok on the freeway but in the traffic it gets bad.

Can't be the cooling system since it doesn't boil and stays full. I am thinking that it might be that the ignition module is getting too hot.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Andrew

I have heard of this problem before, I think the answer was it is a sensor somewhere giving an incorrect reading to the computer so it thinks the engine is cold and causes it to run rich, why it only plays up at idle. Maybe the temp sensor? Try a search,
