Started a new project to gather pics of all the HQ-Z interiors along with the codes, if anyone can help with pics of their interiors and codes it would be much appreciated, also if I have made any mistakes feel free to point them out as Im learning along the way. http://gallery.oldholden...es/HQ-Z+Interior+Codes/

I applaud you Mr. Jones. What an undertaking as there were some HQ interior trims that ended up on only a small number of vehicles. Finding every example may prove a little difficult but I have a few mates who can assist with this. I will let you know how

too true. excellent work gathering and sorting all those pics... the ext colour reference has been pretty helpful too.
just with the HJ shed '18 - slate black', as far as i know (and i could be wrong) all GTS' with the slate black interior had a Red ( |

RDS I reread the relevant section in Warrens book and it seems I misunderstood what was written. I thought black interiors featured a stripe that matched the exterior colour,what it actually says (to paraphrase), is for colours other than |

HJ had both 18 and 19 used in Monaro. 18 is Slate Black and 19 is solid black. Both these blacks had the red stripe and yes, the cloth insert variant had the red stripe as well. The stripe in all other colours was colour contrasting.

im fairly sure ALL the slate black interiors had a red stripe. in the HJ GTS brochure, the 18X slate black with herringbone inserts seats pictured have a red stripe.
and im gonna have to spend up and get one of those books - sounds like they really go |
