My beloved hat wearing original minst green WB Statesman Caprice develops a whine about 80kph. Has anyone had any experience changing over diffs and can anyone recommend a reputable repairer in Melbourne?
Can anyone tell me what makes the noise?

make sure it's the diff before you buy a new one, maybe just wheel bearings.
