The photographs are the best part of this new magazine. I'm real excited as my car features in two of the photos - page 13 and page 25. Does anybody know how many SS 5000s were built with factory a/c and a four speed?

After all thehype surrounding this magazine, I thought it would have been a lot better than it is. The stats facts and figures are just a joke. The musclecar article on these cars was heaps better but at least the pictures make up for it.

I wonder what the redhead with the Mint Julep SS looks like today? How rare are the left hand drive cars on page 11? Papaya takes the cake in terms of colour in LX.

Worth $9.40 for the two photos of my car but overpriced for anything else.

I heard that TORANA stood for Tons Of Rust And No Acceleration!! But that isnt the issue here. I have studied the two photographs of my car and can say without any doubt they are one and the same car at different stages of assembly. Have a close look and

Hi Rosenberg, I would say that the publisher has access to more of these photographs but probably wouldnt print them. Even though the magazine is called Just Holdens it is not about cars but about people. I have now reread the magazine a number of times a

You might be able to get copies of those photos from GM-H if you request them through their public relations department. As they hold the copyright to the image.

That way you could blow up the broadcast sheet on the windscreen, unless you already have

Hi Warren,

Thank you for joining in. In regards to the photographs, is it possible for a contact direct from you as your magazine has obviously already gone through this process?

No, I don't have a copy of the broadcast for this car or my two Monaro

I only contribute to the magazine, I do not own or run it, so best bet is contact GM-H for a their photo archive. They charge a fee for these, but as you know it is your car from the PSN on the broadcast sheet, then would be very special to you.

Well i

Hi Warren,

Sorry to harp on this, but was the material you wrote edited by any chance? I have read the A9X magazine yet again and still can't make head nor tail of it. It doesn't go anywhere and if it had been edited for whatever reason then that may e

Yes it was "chopped up" a little, but as I said it was not to be a special edition when I wrote it.

Also since then some more info has come to light, which contradicts both the Muscle car and my article.

Both claim that thy started production on the

Hi group,

Your input is greatly appreciated Warren, however a few things I can add appear to contradict what you have stated a little. I have researched the A9X quite a bit as I am in the market for one in Valencia Orange. I would be very keen to learn

Yes and I have seen cars with VINs lower than others yet their compliance date is later. A good example is the HZ disc brake issue. The first Holden with discs was the A9X. No the first was an HZ built in July 1977, but compliiance in 10/77.

I said the

Mike

A guy I know has the 1979 Bathurst (5th placed) Garry Rogers A9X race number 34 that I believe has all the running gear out of the lightweight Bob Jane car Garry crashed at Amaroo in 1979. It is supposed to be a spare GMP&A shell that was purchase

Hi Warren,

Your statement about compliance dates is interesting. Can you elaborate at all? The HZ GTS you speak of must be that Panama Green one that featured on the oldholden website. The car was black when the guy bought it. It is actually a 6/77 com
