hi guys
the alternator warning light on my '79 2 litre esky stays on til the engine speed reaches 2200rpm, then it goes out. I've replaced the alternator with a new item but it still does the same thing, belt is tensioned correctly ... any ideas?
cheers f.

Not too sure about Escorts, Does it have a built in regulator or an external regulator?

AFAIK, the regularor is built in to the alternator, will have to have another look (and RTM) and if external, then will clean all contacts!
cheers franklin
