put an old 253 and traumatic i had in my back shed into my bro-inlaws ute today and it wont select 3rd. i have never used this tranny so just took a chance. it selects reverse and first hard and fast wont change into second unless you get up it, changes around 60+kmh. i put another modulator i had lying around on it dint do nothing. could it be the governor if so how do i get to it while its in the car. also if you put it in Nuetral while driving you have to pull over to get it to select gears again.

selector is on the same side as a turbo 350 so i dont know what tranny is out of. engine is a 71 HQ with 4 barrel no pollution gear. |

Make sure the vacuum suppy isn't restricted. Sometimes carbon can build up in the manifold fitting. Also, check that the vac. line is clear.
