Gday - looking for power problem and have tested pressure in the LPG tank: it's 400 420kpa from rest to cruise, where it drops to 300kpa under load from say 3000- 5000 rpm, but stays steady at that... Why is that so? Is it costing power? Currently the engine is running lean at that higher rev range.
Gas people don't seem to know what tank pressure should be, after a few enquiries.

Hi zoomstrange.

The only major changes in tank pressure are due to temperature fluctuations, it doesnt vary much as the gas is consumed.

Where are you measuring tank pressure ? If you are measuring pressure at or near the converter, this is line pre

Depending how the system is set up the mixture can be adjusted from the valve on the hose line to the carby. It is better to run a bit rich if you are going to be running at higher revs a lot as the risk of burning valves or pistons outweighs the cost of

Thanks again for the interest. No, Im not going to be redlining the car to work - but surely the point of tuning is to have the engine do what its told to the best of the combos ability. Trust me, I know how to relax on tuning, it was 18 years between tap
