hey yall, Problem: The blower motor does not function on fan settings 1 or 2.
Solution: A common problem is the blower motor resistor contacts corroding and/or a damaged resistor. The solution is to fit a new blower motor resistor and wiring loom. Since 09/1998, the blower motor resistor has been fitted in a different position.
am i right in saying the resistor is the heavy electrical gizmo, behind the fan switch on the dash??
therefore>> if i get a good holden/commodore heater switch, will it be hard to wire it into the heater elec motor?? or am i once again, biting off more than i can chew? thanks already bcb
ptpro some men see things as they are, and ask "why" I dream of things that never were, and say, "bloody ripper idea mate, lets try it",!! |

Heater fan resistors are usually just a coil of resistance wire and found in the heater box so that the airflow stops them from glowing white hot and burning out.
The fact that yours is not working on the lower speeds usually means that there is a b |

roger wilco Jim 5.o will do,
but i would still like to change and wire in a readily available resistor, so it is easy to fix if ever go wong again? or even put in 3 different switches, one for each speed??? hhhhmm? have no idea how to do this of |
