1980 ZJ fairlane Options

Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 31/07/2008(UTC) Posts: 39		ive just bought a 1980 ZJ fairlane. it has a 302 cleveland, but im unsure what type of gearbox the auto is..i.e C4, C6,etc, does anyone know off the top of there heads what it should be? never look down on someone unless your helping him up.

C4 was used in the 302s and some 6cyls. C4 can be made into a very tough/bulletproof box and is cheaper to work on than the FMX boxes.

The FMX tube is push in and yours should be threaded into the side of the pan. Does anyone know if they used FMX boxes after the XC era?
