Won't be a C6. Should be a C4. I think later boxes were termed something different as there were a few minor mods done to the box but all in all still a C4.

Different boxes. Both 3 speed autos. FMX was put behind the 351s. C4 was used in the 302s and some 6cyls. C4 can be made into a very tough/bulletproof box and is cheaper to work on than the FMX boxes.

It is a C4 then. The FMX dipstick comes out of the main housing and not the pan. The FMX tube is push in and yours should be threaded into the side of the pan. Does anyone know if they used FMX boxes after the XC era?

Has anyone seen before the chocolate trim for ZJ/ZK fairlanes? theres your basic brown, and grey , but they made a really dark nice chocolate interior, and ive been hunting for the seats for a long time. anyone else out there know of this elusive trim?
