Bought an original owner vn v6 s1.
Thought the noise was an exhaust.
Maybe timing chain or bearings.
Sounds like its loosing air.
Using heaps of fuel.
Sounds rattly.
Any suggestions?

Maybe timing chain is stretched. Harmonic balancer may be dying. what do you mean by loosing air? Try the manifold gaskets

could be an exhaust gasget leaking, check them out. But the VN motor was full of rattles. The timing chain tensioner fell off mine and was found in the sump. The I heard that the cam bearings can drop out as well. But if this happens you will/should ge
