can anyone explain how the letters following the 186 engine numbers relate to models options etc.
Eg 186S 186P 186K etc

K is X2 or 186S in HR. P is high comp 186 in HK-HG. S is 186S in HK-HG.

186A is hi-comp HR & 186L is lo-comp HT/G.

To complete the list there is 3100X, CK (both LC XU-1) and 186N (service engines). If you need more info look on my website www.monaroparts.com. I have updated the engine number page but not uploaded it yet, thus 186L and 186N are missing off the current |
