Hi all
New to the forum and just starting a rebuild. I have a 78 HZ dressed up as a GTS. Has the 253 with trimatic. How do you know if you have a red, blue, black or grey motor? Engine number is QR708490.
Thanks

Grey motors run from the 48-215 thru to EJ.
EH introduced the red motors.
Red motors ran up to the end of HZ & VB.
Blue motors came online with VC & WB production, and ceased at the end of VH (but carried on with WB).
Black motors began with VK. The
Cheers,

Mick
