hi guys
can anyone recommend a quality cam (brand/part number/or grind) and lifters to suit a stock 4.2 in a WB ute with 3.36 diff? The engine is stock apart from a dual exhaust and has covered approx. 120,000kms (yep, thats right!).
I'm chasing something for economy. Am getting the tappet noise at just on 100kph and at approx.75kph and it spoils a nice drive and turning up the radio doesn't help either. I've changed the oil and used a bottle of lifter free, all to no avail. I've heard these engines have a 'soft' cam and the tappet noise is common. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
