I am having trouble with my VC. It is the 1.9L starfire engine with Varajet Carurettor. There is a major flatspot in the carby when i go about half throttle. It doesn't happen when it's cold and the choke is on, but once it warms up it loses about 60% power at half throttle then comes back again if i give it some more throttle.... any suggestions??

Sounds like a leak in the system sopmewhere that expands when it gets hot. I'd be looking at the throttle body of the varajet (these are known to warp), but change the gaskets at least for starters. Also check the manifold to head bolts, these Starfire
